Update from Superintendent Gartley: 12/20/2023

All of the schools in Oakland and the James Bean school in Sidney have full power from CMP. In Belgrade and at China Primary we have generators running these schools. CMS still does not have power. We will be able to have kids in today with a warm place to keep them safe, feed them and try to help out the community. We completely understand if you decide to keep your children home, all absences will be excused. But we will be there for those who do choose to attend. China Primary and China Middle School have existing plans in place to take care of students even with CMS not having power. We want to be there for the students and hopefully this will help many families. But once again, please make the best decision you feel is right for your child.
