Raising Readers at RSU 18: June 2024 Winner
Join us in congratulating our latest Raising Readers at RSU 18 winner, Reid! Reid is a third grader in Miss Belanger’s class at China Primary School who listened to our final district read aloud and engaged in the extension challenge. In the extension activity, students were challenged to transform a creature they are afraid of into a more friendly character – just as author, Michelle Knudsen, transformed a creepy spider into a friendly character who pretended to act like a lovable kitten in the read aloud! Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Gartley, was able to gift Reid a copy of our shared story, “Luigi, the Spider Who wanted to be a Kitten,” by Michelle Knudsen earlier today!
