Raising Readers at RSU 18 October 2024 Winner!
Congratulations to Atwood Primary School’s first grader, Lincoln, on winning his very own copy of Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White!
In early October, Mrs. Paquette shared a community story online and invited all district children to participate in an extension activity decorating a jack-o’lantern and writing about their favorite fall treat to eat! All students who participated in the community story and activity were entered into a drawing to win their own copy of the book! There were so many wonderful responses and creative jack-o’lanterns!
This morning Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Keith Morin, delivered the book to Lincoln who was ecstatic to be chosen as the October winner! He shared with Mr. Morin that he loves fall because of apple cider and apple crisp! Mr. Morin also gifted Lincoln’s school library a copy of our shared story so that all the students of Atwood could read this adorable tale again and again! #WeAreRSU18 #RaisingReadersAtRSU18
