RSU 18 at Northeast Livestock Expo
The district’s elementary students got to attend a very special event earlier this month. On Thursday, May 16th, students eagerly climbed into buses to head to the Northeast Livestock Expo at the Windsor Fairgrounds. They got to spend the day learning about wildlife conservation, weather, invasive species, different kinds of farm animals and much more.
NELE gives children the opportunity to see and learn about a variety of livestock and agricultural commodities,
often with hands-on interaction. All RSU 18 Primary & Elementary Schools attended the Expo as part of the
District’s Farm to School Program. Transportation was paid for by NELE, Maine Ag in the Classroom and other
sponsors.
