Congratulations, Luna!
Congratulations to our latest Raising Readers at RSU 18 winner, Luna of Williams Elementary School! Luna listened to Mrs. Moody and Mrs. Naegely share the story A Little Bit Brave by Nicola Kinnear and participated in our district wide extension activity this past month. Students were challenged to write about a time they too needed to be a little bit brave – just like the main character in the text. Luna gave a descriptive account of showing courage during a nerve-wracking moment at a talent show. Way to go, Luna!
Assistant Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Morin, surprised Luna and her classmates today and gifted her a copy of this sweet book. Luna also earned an extra copy for her school’s library!
