Raising Readers At RSU 18: February 2026
Join Ms. Hamilton as she shares our February Raising Readers at RSU 18 title: “The Day it Rained Hearts” by Felicia Bond.
As always, we are giving away a copy of the book to one lucky district student who participates in the extension activity! To be entered into the district drawing, follow the steps below:
2. Email communications@rsu18.org a photo of your child’s chosen extension activity! Submissions are due by Wednesday, February 25th!
Extension Activity – take your pick from one of the following options:
1. Hearts Letters: Write a letter to a friend, family member, or classmate telling them why they are special to you. Use kind words used in the story and draw them a picture you think they would enjoy.
2. Design Your Own Heart: Using the heart template and art supplies, decorate the heart showing something you love, a memory you have with a friend, or special things about your personality.
