Epic Voices of the Middle Ages Come Alive
On April 2nd, elementary Gifted and Talented students brought the Middle Ages to life at Williams Elementary School through powerful performances of original epic poetry.
Third through fifth grade students from Belgrade, Oakland, and Sidney immersed themselves in the roles of historical and imaginative characters. After researching their chosen figures, they explored the art of epic storytelling—learning how poets of the past used vivid imagery and figurative language to portray heroic journeys.
Transforming their characters into larger-than-life heroes, the students crafted original tales filled with adventure and courage. Their learning culminated in dynamic performances, where they not only shared their poetry but also acted out their stories, captivating their audience while showcasing both creativity and confidence. #WeAreRSU18
